Hello Kitty Products I never expected

You'd think the Hell Kitty Vibrator would have left me prepared to find these items.

I have to wonder, is it real, or is it Photoshop? Anyone got any information either way?

In Winnipeg

I'm in Winnipeg on business this week, and the hotel I'm staying in apparently thought it would be a keen idea to cover all the doors with hardwood flooring.

And it's not just the exterior doors that are covered. The bathroom and closet doors are covered on both sides.

Did they have a problem with people walking in the doors or something???

Look Ma, I did woodworking!

Yes folks, thanks to my tireless work I managed to cobble together this rather sad and comical excuse for a dryer vent. The hole was already present, and had been boarded up by the previous owner. I'm pretty sure this hole is where he was venting his dryer.

So there it is, I took some scrap wood, and MADE something!

I guess my office is OK too

It looks like Lookout likes to flop under my desk as well.

RE: Rep Ellison

Constitution of the United States of America Article 6 section 3:

"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." (Emphasis mine)

Suck on that Prager.

Notice the stains around this waste water pipe. Is it rust being soaked off by condensation, or a slow lead, destined to rupture the pipe? Only time (Or a good plumber) can tell.

Part of the Problem

You know what happens when you use iron nails to hold a copper pipe in place?

Aside from looking rather ugly, it causes a chemical reaction that rapidly degrades the copper. A ten or twenty year old pipe ends up springing leaks like mad, and needs to be replaced, as there just isn't enough good copper left for the pipe to be worth repairing.

Don't you just LOVE dealing with the messes left behind by your home's previous owner?

Leaking Hot Water Heater

The Hot water Heater sprung a leak this morning. Fortunately, the plumbers were already coming in today, so it was a simple matter of having them take care of it. Fortunately for me, the problem turned out to be the pressure valve at the top of the tank. The Plumbers had a spare in their van, so repairing this little leak will be added to the rest of the work being done.
