First financial bank is the worst credit card company ever my interest rate is sky high and everytime I turn around I have more and more to pay and have not used this card in months I wouldnt wish this card on my worst enemies! I take full responsibility form debt. I make payments every month, on time and will continue to do so. But this company makes it impossible for you to pay your balance by setting unreasonable interest rates (mine was raised unexpectedly after about 6.5 years) and then then offering rude customer service reps to help you. I haven't run into some of the problems other people talk about but I would believe all of it.

My interest rate is now 23% and I'm not sure if I'll every be able to pay off my balance now. Don't bother with 1st Financial Bank USA. They are amazing scammers!

I got a bill from them when about a month after i had my 18Th birthday saying i owed them $200 and i have never even filled out a form to get a card from them nor did i ever receive one and use it and i kept getting bills over the months there after gradually getting higher so i called and told em look i don't know why y'all keep sending me bills on a card i have never even seen. they said well they don't just send out cards too people without them applying for it and i said well i never did and that i wanted it cancelled and wanted a list of transactions so i could find out where the money was spent, which they never sent and i still get bills. I can assure you that John of God is not a fraud in the sense that nothing goes on there. However, the ‘Casa’ should be avoided at all costs from my own experience as whatever goes on there is not from this world.

This is my story. I went to the Casa three years ago as I was extremely ill and ended up staying a year. At first I did not believe the Casa could do the things they claimed nor the accounts of the people who experienced such phenomenon. I put it down to a ‘placebo effect’ or people’s desperation to find God.
I wanted to ‘have faith’ as well in order to recover from my own illness but I was still highly skeptical. However, as I experienced for myself things that defied my understanding and comprehension and witnessed more, I realized that what goes on there is beyond our understanding.

People are often so desperate (as I was) or want to believe so much in something like God in a tangible way that they are willing to ignore the fact that they really have no idea what they are getting into. Those who go there are pressured to 'have faith' and 'not question.' Yet thousands of people are willing to entrust their lives and bodies to something that is not from this world.

Since returning from my trip, I was attacked physically and mentally for the last several years in ways that defy explanation to most people. It has almost been unbearable at times and I have been in fear on my safety and my life and this is just the tip of the iceberg. I wish I had never gone to this place as nothing like this had ever occurred until I got involved with John of God.

If you find this hard to believe I don’t blame you as I would be thinking the same thing had I not gone through it myself. I wasn't some crazed 'new agey' guy either prone to believing in weird or unusual phenomenon’s. Prior to becoming ill, I had a career and had never thought much about this type of stuff but severe illness can make you open to almost anything if you think it will make you better.

You will only hear rosy stories coming from the Casa guides and the Casa literature but what you don't hear is the people like myself who have had horrible experiences. Most people and literature promoting the Casa try to explain what goes on there in a 'bibleesque' way that packages it so people feel safe, secure and can make sense of it. But having been there and experienced it myself, whatever it is, is beyond our comprehension and the ‘packaging’ of the Casa and ‘John of God’ is a highly effective form of manipulation.

Furthermore, 'John of God' the man is not the real problem; it is whatever is working through him. Whatever this place is, it does not belong on this earth. My best advice if you are considering going there because 1) you or your loved ones are in a desperate situation as I was 2) you are seeking a deeper spirituality/God connection - think long and hard before getting into something that defies our understanding.

Though there are thousands of people who have been helped by the Casa would strongly disagree with me, whatever this place is, it does not belong on this earth.

Why not tie a child getting an education to a parents getting "entitlements"? If the child fails to make progress or drops out of school, the parent and child lose the government funded benefits until the child is 21. We already say a kid can not get a drivers license if they don't get a high school diploma. How about sharing the responsibility, punishment and reward with the person who can most motivate that child?

I have been a cardholder since 2007 unwillingly. I have been a victim of identity theft.. Because my parents happened to be deadbeats and drug addicts they used my social security number to sign up online for cards and just went hog wild.. I have never signed up for this card but when i turned 18 i pulled up a credit report and it was on there. I called the customer service dept as soon as i found out. They redirected me to the "identity theft department" and she berated me and told me that i was trying to get free money out of them. That i was not able to do anything but pay off the 5000 dollar balance on the card. She said to me the only thing she could do was change the number on the card and send out a new one. I told her just cancel it, she said fine ok we will cancel your account. well a few weeks later i received a new card in the mail. I wasn't sure what was going on so i called back and she told me that the account is still open, and she will cancel it.. I have been trying for years now to cancel this bs account and i finally paid off the card and i received a letter in the mail saying that since my balance is 0 i will now have to pay a higher annual fee of $50. Yeah that's great and everything but i don't freaking want a card that i didn't even get in the first place and had to pay off someone elses spending sprees that put me in debt with many other cards, and this was the only card i have had problems with. there have been over 20 cards and loans that i never knew about all maxed out. plus 4 years of 29.999% interest.. wow.. talk about bending over and taking it..
If you think this company is all good, then you probably can't find your ass with both hands if you tried.. This company needs to be put out of business but they thrive off of young people and thieves.. and they're still standing.. would love to shit on their parade.. I'm in the army now and i think a lawyer for this is free, but i'm going to have to find the time to pursue something at least..
