Reporter Arrested on Orders of Giuliani Press Secretary

The long and the short of it is this: Matt Lepacek was at a press conference in NH, and was asking 9/11 related questions. He was being a bit argumentative, but he had a CNN press pass, which gave him the right to be there. Giuliani's press secretary didn't like the questions, so he had the reporter arrested, despite the protests of CNN staff. It was all captured on tape. The reporter was wearing a web cam that was broadcasting live, which he was very vocal about having. Because of this camera, the police are planning to charge him with espionage.
Freelance reporter Matt Lepacek, reporting for Infowars.com, was arrested for asking a question to one of Giuliani's staff members in a press conference.

And here's the digg.com thread on the story.

A shorter write-up can be found at roguegovernment.com which also has a corresponding digg.com write-up.

Here's the contact information for Giuliani's campaign headquarters. Fee free to write them (respectfully) and ask for Rudy's comment on this whole mess.

The police can make a strong case for ejecting Matt Lepacek from the event, but the arrest, confiscation of and damage to his camera, and the absurd espionage charges are a clear abuse of power and an attempt to intimidate reporters.
